Neolithic stoneworks.

A few images inspired by the neolithic and bronze age stoneworks of ancient Ireland, particularly the tomb at Newgrange.

Emma, pt.1

This is the first of a series of sketches of a character in a short story that I may or may not ever finish. Her name is Emma, and she is one of the primary characters in said story. She’s supposed to have a hipster/indie rock sort of feel. These sketches detail her appearance and assorted elements of her design.

The story itself involves the search for an ancient artifact: a crystal pocketwatch that is thought to be capable of raising the dead. What it actually does, however, is far more strange and terrifying.

Venetian Tattoo.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while. This is an illustration of a young woman with a living tattoo. The tattoo of the venetian mask is emitting black light and gusts of wind, with leaves being carried by said gusts.

I the gallery below you will find the original sketch, and the full illustration. Please click the thumbnail beow the gallery to view the full magnification of the final illustration.

Venetian Tattoo – sketch.

This was the sketch for an ink and marker illustration I did a while back. The tattoo of the venetian mask has two black lines flowing from it, and from these lines leaves are spilling forth. It doesn’t represent anything in particular. I just thought it would make for a nice image.

Flying seed.

A watercolor sketch, essentially. These are a group of floating seeds, and the plants simply grow out of them in midair.

Assorted older stuff and sketches.

Just some older stuff. Two negative space images I did for a drawing class, and a pencil sketch of the 20’s pulp character The Shadow.

Old streets.

Two sketches of street/city areas I did a while back. The pier image is supposed to have a sort of surreal, art-deco, Blade-Runnerish feel to it. The other is just some random sketching.
