Lucca, dark style.

Just a fanart of Lucca, from Chrono Trigger, in a slightly different style and design than that seen in the game. This style was largely inspired by the style of Jean Giraud/Moebius, mostly in terms of the shading/hatching. I dispensed with her helmet, and gave the glasses a slightly different shape, then added a shoulder pad. Below is the image in color.

So, yeah. Flat color. I thought about shading it, but decided that this worked better. I added some scars to her face, to give her a slightly more hardened look. Think of this as a post-apocalyptic Lucca if you like, living in the 2300 A.D. setting for an extended period.

Misc. Sketches pt. 3

More random sketches. Firion from Final Fantasy II, and some dome shaped structures.

Shadow Flowers.

A female character with flowers.

Just for clarity, this is not supposed to by the protagonist of Bayonetta, nor is it the Baronness from G.I. Joe. I just wanted to do a drawing of a female character with dark hair and glasses. There are also flowers, just because I like drawing flowers. This was actually done in early 2011, but I never uploaded it until now.

Misc. Sketches pt.4

Just some random sketches. The girl in the upper-left is a Neolithic warrior princess. The things in her hair are supposed to be the bones of some sort of beast or something. The thing on her face is just face-paint. The other girl, I just felt like drawing emo-hair. Defined, in this case, as hair falling over one eye. At the bottom is a sketch of a castle, which is actually an amalgamation of several real life castles, including Castle Neuschawnstein in Germany, Bran Castle in Romania, and another castle whose name escapes me at the moment.

Misc. Sketches pt. 1

Just some random sketches.

Just a page of random sketching. A Townsend bat, a random girl, a symbol for a futuristic school, some glyphs based on the Romulan language, and early roughs of a building that has been seen in one of my other posted sketches.

Green Eyes.

This is just a drawing I did in early 2011. A random female character, some assorted buildings, a chain, and geometric patterns that I think were inspired by something in a Frank Lloyd Wright building. Those structures in the lower right are based on real buildings. None of the images really relate to each other.

Dancing Cthulhu.

Okay, this is a nice, accidental image. When I scanned and edited the flower images, the lower part of the third flower ended up resembling something that I thought was quite amusing. Take a look.

What kind of magic spell to use?

When I looked at this, I thought it resembled a figure, bent over, facing the viewer. Almost like it was dancing. The two circles near the ‘head’ are like stylized eyes. The overall shape of the head reminded me of Cthulhu, so I made this in to its own image and titled it ‘Dancing Cthulhu’.

Yeah, I’m a dork.

Alien plants.

A series of alien plants, drawn on vellum with Micron pens.

Both were created in the same manner as the flower in the previous post. The second one led to the creation of another image, which will be described in a new post.

Flower image.

This is the flower image used in the previous wallpapers. It was drawn on vellum with micron pens. As you can see, only one segment was drawn, and the rest was duplicated and repositioned to give it perfect symmetry. It’s supposed to be a strange, peculiar flower. Yeah, I like flowers.

Image

This was initially drawn as part of a series of alien plants. The remaining illustrations in that series will be uploaded shortly.

HEARD fanart.

This is some fanart I did for the wonderful webcomic Heard.
